Guitar Assembly
Most guitars come in two halves: the head and the body. The head contains the tuning pegs, the nut, and the fretboard. The body contains the strings, the bridge, and the pickups.
To assemble a guitar, you will need to:
1. Connect the head and the body.

3. Tune the guitar.
4. Set the action.
5. Play!
There are many different types of guitars, and each one has its own specific assembly process. However, the basic steps are the same for all guitars.

1. Connecting the head and the body.
The first step in assembling a guitar is to connect the head and the body. This can be done in one of two ways:
With screws and bolts
With a bolton neck
If your guitar has a bolton neck, simply align the neck with the body and screw it in place. If your guitar has a set neck, you will need to glue the neck in place.
2. Stringing the guitar.
The next step is to string the guitar. This can be a bit tricky, so be sure to follow the instructions that came with your guitar. Generally, you will need to:
Thread the string through the body
Thread the string through the tuning peg
Wrap the string around the tuning peg
Pull the string tight and repeat for all strings
3. Tuning the guitar.
Once the strings are in place, it’s time to tune the guitar. This can be done with an electronic tuner, or by ear. If you are tuning by ear, simply pluck the string and compare the sound to the sound of another string that is in tune.
4. Setting the action.
The action is the distance between the strings and the fretboard. If the action is too high, the strings will be hard to press down. If the action is too low, the strings will buzz when you play.
The action can be adjusted by:
Changing the height of the saddle
Changing the height of the nut
Filing the nut
Filing the frets
5. Playing!
Now that the guitar is assembled, tuned, and the action is set, it’s time to play! Experiment with the different sounds that you can make, and have fun!
